United ESD - Suppliers
and installers of ElectraFlex, an extremely advanced esd floor
covering. Time tested, quality insured by testing EACH
batch, ElectraFlex is manufactured using an exclusive calendering process creating a
truly homogenous composition for the utmost in
even static dissipation. ElectraFlex's
construction utilizes a proprietary top surface wear layer
bonded to a full surface conductive bottom layer
providing static busting properties simply unheard of with other
esd floor covering materials. It's
flexible, yet very durable and abrasion resistant. ElectraFlex won’t flake or degrade under heavy weight loads and passes tough
military standards for chemical and fire resistivity. Other
conductive vinyl's often exhibit problems with carbon sloughing.
Not so with ElectraFlex; manufactured to specifications so
stringent ElectraFlex can even be used in class 100 clean room
environments.
With excellent cleanliness and extremely consistent
conductivity, it's perfect for medical facilities, electronic
assembly and THE most sensitive of esd control environments.
Within the
ElectraFlex product range line is our EL series, a conductive
floor covering available in nine colors and our AS series (a
static dissipative floor covering material available in
five non-directional colors. Both Series are available in 2
meter wide by approximately 20 meter lengths or tiles.
ElectraTile is permanently conductive and requires no
wax or floor finish to maintain it's superb electrical
properties.

This premium material
features the ultimate in installation flexibility. ElectraFlex may
be laid over a variety of surfaces including close-cropped
carpeting, wood cement, linoleum and other existing flooring.
Permanent, reliable anchoring is accomplished via our one part
water-based acrylic conductive adhesive (p.n. 41005).
Semi-permanent installation over existing carpeting, needle
felt, parquet or stone floors may be accomplished using our full
surface conductive textile reinforced releasable adhesive system
(p.n. 41003). Your company’s requirements count!
The flexibility for
reuse (where a permanent investment in a leased facility is
undesirable) or a long-term permanent installation.

* Quick Tip Number 3,287: ElectraFlex EL series is available in the 9 colors (as
posted above) in ESD conductive. ElectraFlex is also available
in 6 colors (as posted below) in static dissipative. The general consensus in
the vast majority of electronic
manufacturing environments shows ESD conductive flooring as
preferable due to the extreme ESD sensitivity of many of today's
advanced micro-components. An ESD conductive flooring
material will move the electrostatic potential to ground faster than
a static dissipative esd flooring material providing a more thorough
(yet still controlled) discharge. Static dissipative ESD flooring materials are often the
preferred choice when working with high voltage power supplies etc.

flooring in combination with esd footwear and why static conductive
is now preferable over static dissipative please visit: ESD
